This is a completely unique piece of timber. A solid diagonal end grain slice giving it an amazing surfboard shape.
Cut from a nearly 100 year old elm tree, dried so slowly over many years to prevent movement and cracks this is something very rare in this cut of timber.
I have stabilised in a couple of places with some Walnut feature ties and simply placed on a metal leg frame making the top the feature. ( although obviously I could make a different base if a different style was required)
